Great Lakes Junior ‘C’ Hockey League

ALL STAR GAME 

The Great Lakes Jr. C Hockey League is pleased to announce a new All Star Game format to be played on Thursday January 6, 2011, 7:30 p.m. at the Essex Centre Sports Complex.

The Great Lakes League All Stars will host the Eastern Michigan Eagles of the American Collegiate Hockey Association.

The Great Lakes All Star team will be led by defending Champion Belle River Canadiens Head Coach Mark Seguin with the Great Lakes roster and remaining coaching staff to be named next week. The team will be comprised of a minimum of two (2) players from each team with game time slated for 7:30 pm.

Proceeds from the game will be donated to Wes Laporte, a Belle River area teen stricken with Myelodysplastic Syndromes, a (bone marrow) stem cell disorder that gradually affects the ability of a person's bone marrow to produce normal red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets. The donation is intended to assist in the medical & family travel expenses incurred by the Laporte family.

Tickets will be available beginning December 13, 2010 through all League Team Executive, Essex Source for Sports and Belle River Source for Sports.
